A clear account of what stays in your browser, what the site may receive, and the choices available to you.

Effective / last updated: 14 September 2026

Information we collect

SavBuildTool can receive information you choose to provide through a tool, along with limited technical information created when you visit the site. We do not require an account for free tools. The exact data depends on the feature and your choices.

Local tool inputs

Many calculator and utility inputs are handled locally. For example, JSON entered in the formatter is processed in your browser, and sleep-planning inputs remain in page memory while the page is open. These inputs are not the same as normal navigation data. Copies you download, paste elsewhere, print, or save are controlled by you.

Local processing is tool-specific—not a promise that every site interaction stays on-device. Navigation, analytics, advertising, and browser requests may involve third parties as described below.

Tool data saved to your account

A small number of tools need an account and save what you enter on our servers rather than in your browser, because the information has to reach you on another device or reach someone else. The Class & Attendance Tracker works this way: a trainer records their students, class packages, schedules and attendance so that each student can see the same figures from their own device.

Where a tool lets you enter details about another person, you are responsible for having a proper basis to do so and for the accuracy of what you enter. Records are visible only to the account that created them and the person they describe. If a student below the digital age of consent in your location is being recorded, use a parent or guardian’s contact details. Anyone can ask us to remove records that describe them using the contact route below.

This is different from the local tool inputs described above: information saved to an account persists until it is deleted, and is not discarded when the page closes.

Analytics & technical data

When enabled, analytics may record page views, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, language, screen size, performance, and interactions such as opening a tool. We use this data in aggregate to understand reliability and usefulness.

Advertising & third parties

The site may show advertising or load services supplied by third parties. Those providers may receive device, browser, request, and consent information and may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own notices. Sponsored content is labelled where practical.

Cookies & device storage

Strictly necessary storage supports security, keeps your session and remembers your consent choice. The site also keeps copies of pages and files on your device so it can work without a connection, described under Installing the app and offline storage below. With permission, analytics, advertising, or personalization technologies may also be used. You can review or change optional categories on the Cookie Preferences page.

Cookies are not the only way information is kept on a device. This section covers cookies and the other browser storage the site relies on.

Installing the app & offline storage

SavBuildTool can be added to a device home screen and opened like an app. Whether or not you add it, visiting the site saves the pages you open, and the scripts, styles, fonts and icons they need, into your browser’s own storage so they still work when you have no connection.

A saved page is a copy of what the site sent you at the time, so it can include whatever was shown to you while you were signed in. That copy stays on the device and is not sent anywhere. It is replaced whenever you open the same page online again, and it is cleared when a different account signs in on that browser, or when you clear the site’s data in your browser settings.

Your browser also records on the device, and nowhere else, whether you have dismissed the invitation to install. Clearing the site’s data clears that too.

A small number of tools keep the work you do in them on the device in the same way, so it is still there when you come back. The to-do list is one: the tasks, lists and notes you enter are written to your browser’s storage on that device, are not uploaded to us, are not attached to an account, and are not readable by another browser or another device. They stay until you delete them in the tool or clear the site’s data. A tool that works this way says so on its own page.

Saved pages are not live. A page opened without a connection may show an older version of a tool, its assumptions or its content until the device is online again.

How information is used

We use information to deliver tools, maintain security, diagnose errors, improve content and performance, remember choices, measure use where permitted, and support advertising where permitted. We do not use local tool inputs for unrelated profiling unless a tool clearly says otherwise.

Sharing

Information may be shared with service providers that help host, secure, measure, or fund the site; when required by law; to protect users or the service; or as part of a business reorganization. Providers should receive only what they need for their role.

Retention

Local page-memory inputs normally disappear when the page or session ends. Technical, consent, analytics and advertising records are kept only as long as they are useful for security, reporting, legal and operational needs. Individual visit records are pruned automatically after 90 days; only aggregated daily totals are kept beyond that.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Avoid entering secrets or highly sensitive personal data into general-purpose tools.

International processing

Hosting and service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, appropriate safeguards should be used for international transfers.

Your choices & rights

You can reject non-essential cookies, change preferences, limit browser storage, and avoid optional features. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive certain personal information. Use the contact route below to make a request.

Children

SavBuildTool is a general-audience tools platform and is not directed to children below the minimum digital-consent age in their location. We do not knowingly seek their personal information.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as the service and legal requirements change. When we do, we revise the effective date shown above and, for material changes, show a prominent notice.

For privacy questions or rights requests, use the Contact page and select “Privacy request.” Please do not include sensitive tool inputs, passwords or API keys in the message.
